Year 11 Physics¶
Built against the Physics 11–12 Syllabus (2025). Year 11 covers three focus areas over 120 indicative hours, plus at least one depth study, plus Working Scientifically skills woven through every topic rather than taught as a standalone unit.

Working Scientifically¶
Not a page you visit once — it's the skills layer underneath all three focus areas: questioning and predicting, planning, conducting, processing, analysing, problem-solving, communicating. See the Working Scientifically toolkit for the reference material (data processing, risk assessment templates, referencing), and expect it cross-linked from inside every topic.
Exam format (for context while you study)¶
3 hours + 10 minutes reading. 100 marks total: Section I is 20 marks of objective response, Section II is 80 marks across 20–25 items (at least two worth 7–9 marks). The data sheet, formulae sheet, and periodic table are supplied in the exam — see Resources — so the goal throughout this site is to get you comfortable reading from them, not memorising them.
