Year 11 Chemistry¶
Built against the Chemistry 11–12 Syllabus (2025). Year 11 covers three focus areas, plus at least one depth study, plus Working Scientifically skills woven through every topic rather than taught as a standalone unit — same skill set as Physics, applied to chemistry contexts (titrations, calorimetry, concentration calculations).
Status
Structure scoped from the official syllabus, sub-topics not yet drafted — see project.md Section 7a for the full checklist this was built from.
Focus areas¶
| Focus area | Code | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Properties and Structure of Matter | CH-11-01 | Separating mixtures, atomic structure, periodic trends, chemical bonding |
| Quantitative Chemistry | CH-11-02 | Conservation of mass, the mole concept, concentration, gas laws |
| Chemical Reactions | CH-11-03 | Classifying reactions, reaction rates, energy changes |
