Why it matters: applies Dynamic Earth's plate tectonics directly to real, current hazard events — genuinely high-interest content (Pinatubo, Eyjafjallajökull, Australian bushfires/floods) that also demands real scientific rigour (seismic wave analysis, forecast modelling).
